That's it!

Well, we've only made it half way through.
Sophie is too busy with work and other workouts & I've got more than enough to do with Zumba, Cheerleading and school. Plus I still got a feeling that my thigh isn't quite okay.
Guess we're giving up.
I first thought I'd keep on going on my own but to be honest I still don't really like the workouts that much. I'm happy to getting back to Tone it Up. They got monthly workout calendars and I'm going to stick to those whenever I can. But I'm probably not goint to post about every workout. Especially not on here. This blog was meant for our bodyrock experience. I'm not going to delete it though, in case somebody would like to read about the workouts some day. Who knows ;)

For those who are interested. This is the link to the august workout calender . August is almost over, but still ;)

bye bye loves,

Week 2, Day 5

Wooohooo we're half-way through. Well not quite. At least I'm not. Here's the workout by the way.
I have to redo I think mondays workout + todays. I couldn't do it today and I won't do it today.
My body wanted to have a break yesterday. I didn't give it what it needed. I went to Zumba class (even though my legs couldn't do any more than one class) and I did the challenge workout late last night. My legs hurt... not a muscle ache kinda pain but a now-energy kinda pain with just a heavy feeling. Same today, plus I'm really tired and my body's screaming "take a break". And that's what I'm going to do. My head is regretting the whole not going to Zumba right now (it'll start in 4 mins.) but thankfully there are now saturday classes, too so I won't have to wait until sunday (even though we're going to have some new instructor on saturdays).
Some have to make themselves workout I have to make myself NOT work out. Everybody's got their own issues i guess. I'll try doing the workouts this weekend but I can't promise anything cause I'll have Zumba on both days and Cheer practice tomorrow.
Well, I'm going to 'chillax' at the sofa now. Have a nice evening!
xx

edit (25-08-2012)
okay, so I just did fridays workout. Couldn't do must of the burn stuff because my left thigh is a little hurt and I don't want to make it any worse. Sculpt was fun. Arms arms arms. They hurt, I'll have to stretch. ;) Flow was fun, too. I couldn't do the third move at all though and I didn't get far in the first one ;)
that's it. See you on monday

Week 2, Day 4

This would be today's workout.
To be honest... I didn't do it. I was actually looking forward to it when I watched the videos yesterday but then I wook up this morning and I had a really bad migraine which lasted like until the afternoon. Love it when you wake up completely rested and you get a migraine. I can't possibly sleep any longer once I wake up in the morning... So I spent most of my day in my bed playing with my phone... hoping the painkillers would work sometime.
Went to one Zumba class tonight though... I planned on doing 2 but my legs just didn't want to move any more. Plus I was sweating like crazy... dunno but I have a feeling I'm sweating much more on days I had ibuprofen. Anyone any experience with that?!
Well... tomorrow it's burn, sculpt, flow time. I really hope I can do it. It's supposed to rain so I don't know what my head is gonna say. We'll see.

xx

edit:
Well I did it... It just came over me half an hour ago and I thought, oh why not! So I did it. I'm proud. Didn't do the squats from sculpt after the 2nd round though because my left muscle started to really hurt. Well... that's it. Going to have a after workout egg now :D
Good Night.

Week 2, day 3

Okay, so from today's workout I've learned that I absolutely cannot bend down with a straight back.
There's not really much more to say because it simply just was bending forward ;) .
So, 2 Zumba classes tonight & tomorrow uuuh we're back to life <3
And a sculpt & burn workout. Hopefully tomorrow morning. It kinda feels good to be working out in the morning. Plus I need the rest of the day to reload energy for Zumba ;)

Have a nice day,
xx

Week 2, Day 2

Week 2, Day 2
So todays workout started with Burn, as always. It was quite good. Instead of that ball I used my balance ball + arm's weights ( 1kg each earm) and instead of the equalizer I used to chairs. Only for the number 6 though ... I didn't trust my cheap IKEA chairs to hold my weight through number 2 so I did diagonal knee raises instead. For the rest I liked burn, I had fun and was sweating like a pig... . :)

But sculpt, let's not talk about sculpt. I really couldn't do one exercise the way it's supposed to be... Instead of lifting my leg while side planking I just did side planks... with rests. My ab circle holds turned into trying to keeping my legs straight out without doing anything with my arms ... that was more than enough already. After round two I switched to doing reverse crunches. So sculpt wasn't really my thing today. I don't have the muscles for that, yet.

Tomorrow there's only going to be Flow and I can't wait for it. I'm in love with flow ;)

xx

My workout today will be 1 hour of technique spins and 1 out of chair dance meets pole. So no bodyrockers for me today but honestly, my arms are killing me already.

Week 2, Day 1

Week 2, Day 1
So today hasn't quite been my day. First of all I didn't sleep for the last two nights because of the heat and I was quite tired. I tried to do todays workout but I had to stop befor I could finish the first cirquit of the burn workout. I had no strength at all in my arms... I finally skipped the sculpt workout and decided to only do Flow today.
Flow went really well. I could do the tree with my arms up and my sole up. Had to hold my hands to the side during the stick though and I couldn't straighten my legs in the third one. But my balance was quite good. Better than usual. Most of the time I can only stand on my left leg. This time right was quite good as well.
I'll try to redo todays sculpt and burn during the weekend.
Now I'll take a look at tomorrows workouts & then I'll go to bed. Goodnight peeps :)

xx

Good 'ay Mates,
As it is the all you can dance week at my dancestudio this week I will skip some of the classes, e.g. today I skipped all because I went to 2 poledance sessions with 60 minutes each hanging from a pole - which is really quite hard and afterwards I did Martini stretching for one hour which essantially means that you drink a glass of martini before and after the streching session with all the other girls. Makes everything a bit more comfortable in my opinion.
This will be my workout table for the next days and I will do one or two bodyrocking workouts during the weekend as well and do all the flow sessions if I have no martini streching on that day.

Week 1, Day 4

Day 4 was actually a lot of fun. I had way more energy than the day before. It was still hard, don't get me wrong but it was fun. Plus I really felt as if I did something. I had the feeling that I worked out and came to a total of about 35 minutes.

Burn:
I liked the prisinor squat jump & elbow to knee touch after I got the rythem. At the beginning I kind of wanted to lift my knee whenever I had my legs together which didn't work at all ;) Mountain climbers were ok, don't like them much & I only used two 1kg weights to lift. My arms are still kind of weak and I feel I need to start slowly (plus there were many more arms workouts to come ;)). Used the same weights for the squat & front raise. The last one ... well... the under touch toe was no problem at all but I didn't quite have enough energy for the 2 elbow 1/2 burpee jumps so I just kinda jumped to the sides.

Sculpt:
First of all... for some reason I don't find him hot... thought about it a lot because he does have a good body and came to the conclusion that he's too bulky and I don't like his shoes. Men wearing shoes I don't like is a no-go! ;D Okay ... that didn't have anything to do with the workout...

As an alternative for the sandbag I first used a bag filled with weights (and pillows to fill it up) which made a total of 4 kg. Buuut: I was scared for my bag. It's newly fixed by a shoemaker and I don't want to destroy it again. So I got back to my 2 1kg weights... and for the length of that workout I'm glad I did that ;). Took me 18 mins to do the whole 300 reps and it got really easy by the time I hit the 5 reps round ;)
The last 3 exercises where I had to use the timer again did not work at all. Didn't have any energy left in my abs or my arms to hold the plank position. So I had to stop each exercise after like 20 seconds already. No good.

Flow:
I do loooooove flow. And it makes me miss my pilates kinda workouts from blogilates and tone it up. The only one that I couldn't do fully extended was the side plank. Had to have both legs on the ground. But for the rest I think flow is perfect at the end of each workout to cool down and relax.

That's it for today! The weekend is off (well off as in 35-40°C and Cheer practice & Zumba).

xx

Day 4- It's sunday and I finally catched up with the workout. Day 4 was quite a bit hard for me today as it is really hot outside right now. But I managed to push through and now I gonna shower for ages.
I think teti already summarized the workout really good and I look forward to tomorrows workout which I will do AFTER my Kickbox training. So real hardcore tomorrow.

Week 1, Day 3

Day 3 :) . To see the workouts klick here
Today I'm having some pain in my left thigh and it feels like I'm close to having a strained muscle so I have to be a little careful.
Regarding todays workout I gotta say it was hard. At least the 'burn' part... don't know but my abs weren't in the mood for working out today and foras at least 3 of the moves had a lot of ab work it was quite hard.
Move 4 was a hanging knee raises. Foras I don't have anything I could possibly hang on i switched them for reverse crunches. Was painful enough ;)
The 'sculpt' workout was pretty easy and I like it foras I reaaaally have to get more strength in my arms.

I have to say that I like the workouts better than I thought I would... ;) Even though I'm slightly annoyed by the focus they put on her tits and also the enormous amount of time it takes to load that site... But for the rest. It's fun. And I'm looking forward to tomorrows workout :)

xx

Day 3 - yeah first time I felt really exhausted after one of these bodyrock workouts.
I did mine one day later as I really really had no time yesterday at all. But to compensate this I will do my friday workout on saturday so I will catch up with teti soon. I substituted move 4 the same way teti did - but I bought a door hanging thingy from amazon which will hopefully arrive soon. The Spider PushUps were impossible for me to make so I made the easier version she showed in the tutorial.
I really like it, even if I really have to force myself to get up and do my workout every day. Hopefully I will see some results soon :)
Till then,
<3 Sophie

Week 1, Day 2

Okay, so here we are again. What I forgot to say yesterday is that there won't be any posts on saturday and sunday because those are our days off. No workouts.

Todays workout is a flow workout. Want to take a look? Klick here.
And as badass as it looks it's actually pretty easy to do. Yes you will probably have pain in your thighs and maybe the balance part is a little hard at times, especially when you suddenly realise that your back isn't quite that straight and you try to straighten it out while you're already in your pose ;). Apart from that pretty easy. But my legs will need a lot of stretching and i wish I warmed up. I have no use for another strained muscle...

Ok so that's it for today. Didn't feel like I really worked out. Just my thighs. So ... happy to get some Zumba tonight ;)

xx

Okay, so I did my workout as well, and as Teti already said,  it did not really feel like a workout as they were only like 3 yoga figures that you had to do. But as tomorrow will be 3 sets of exercises, a little break was quite nice.
Sadly, as it was a public holiday today, my kickbox training was cancelled as well, so  I  really look forward to do some proper sport tomorrow.
Until then,
<3 Sophie

Week 1 - Day 1

Teti (decided that my post colour is going to be pink, what else;D):
Ok, so today started with the "Fit test". I decided to do the beginners lever. I like to think that I'm intermediate but let's face it, I cannot do real down to the mat push ups and I cannot really do good tricep dips. Meaning my biceps and triceps aren't that strong yet.

i followed Teti and did the beginner fit test as well.  As I am quite sick today my results are probably not the best that I could achieve but I wanted to do it anyway. No excuses! Here are mine and Teti's results.

Beginner level fit test - Teti (3 rounds total):
1. Squats: 58 ~ no problem here, I'm okay with that
2. Push-ups: 39 ~ Had to do the "pussy" (on the knees) version with extended legs to really get down to the mat
3. Tricep dips: 29 ~ knees bend ... can't do them right after doing push-ups....
4. Abs (crunches): 74 ~ I love crunches :D

Beginner lever fit test - Sophie (3 rounds total):
1. Squats: 32, 28, 26
2. Push-ups: 16, 16, 14
3. Tricep dips: 16, 14, 13
3. Crunches:  26, 23, 24

Flexibility Test - Teti:
1. Downward Dog ~ Well lots of room for improvement here... can't really get anything straight...
2. Pigeon ~ Hip is faaaaaar away from the ground but sqaure. Bending forward no problem at all... I can lay down and relax
3. Dangling ~ Fingertips are like 10cm from the floor when my legs are really tight and straight
4. Standing back bend ~ No problem while doing but my back was cramping a little after I got back up.

Flexibility Test - Sophie:
1. Downward dog - I needed  to bend my knees a little but I know where this is going
2. Pigeon - amazingly it actually worked
3. Dangeling  - maybe 5cm from the floor. getting there!
4. Standing back band - Ouch my lower back hurt a lot doing this.

Soo... additionally I decided I'd do befor and after pics... Don't really like to have people (ouside my close friends group) see those but I guess hey, we run around much more naked when we go to the beach, so why not? Cut of my head anyways ;P

Left you find Teti's before picture, middle and right are mine. I am now 1.69 cm tall and 64,4 kg heavy. My goal is to get back into the shape I was half a year ago (which was really hard work but I know I can do it. Back then I was 1.69 high and 59,5 kg at my best.)

So I thought I'd make up some goals for what I want to reach by the end of those 30 days: Mainly I want to improve in arm strength sooo... I'd like to be able to do 15 pussy push-ups & 15 tricep dips each circle. Flexibility... hopefully I'll be able to get my hip down (pigeon) and bend my back a little further.
Plus well get a little more sculpted ;)

What is the 30 days challenge?
